Why test your testosterone?
TESTOSTERONE IS OUR PRIMARY MALE HORMONE. Testosterone plays a major role in our health. For example, Low levels of testosterone can mean increased risk of heart disease, prostate cancer, depression and type 2 diabetes.
On a more immediate level, it can mean that your sex drive is not as good as it used to be, we don’t build muscle like we used to, we probably gain excess body fat. Maybe your sleep is not so good. And our energy is definitely not as good as it used to be.
Most men have heard about Low T as it is widely advertised by drug companies and by body builder sites and supplement companies. However, most men have no idea what their levels are. If they ask their conventionally trained physician to test them, they will generally only test the total testosterone.
Maybe you are taking an over-the-counter “testosterone booster” and you want to know if it is working and if it is safe. Test your testosterone and quit guessing. It is important for your health and your quality of life.
How to Test Your Testosterone and Receive Your Free Report w/Lab Results.
The testosterone lab test includes Total Testosterone, Free Testosterone and Sex Hormone Binding Globulin. This panel will tell you your current level of testosterone and it will tell you how much is being bound up by Sex Hormone Binding Globulin.
The key is the Free Testosterone as this form is what your body has available to use. I call it your Cash. It is what you have to spend. Think of your total testosterone as your bank account and the free as your cash. The Sex Hormone Binding Globulin is someone stealing the cash from your bank account.
We have many other tests that are important for you to know about and understand. Some are offered here and all are offered in our clinics. However, the testosterone test is a good First Step to get on the road to excellent health.
